A Little information about Asif's Standard MIDI Files (SMF):-

Basically, Asif has converted his OctaMED  MMD1 MOD music files to Standard
MIDI Files (SMF) via the "MID IT" converter utility which were subsequently
converted to  Music-X  Performance  files.  In  so  doing,  the  conversion
permitted further editing and embellishment in Music-X together with making
his files General MIDI (GM) compatible..

Therefore, when you examine Asif's  Standard MIDI Files (SMF) you'll notice
that each score does list each MIDI instrument for each MIDI track however,
the original MIDI instruments  used  were  a Roland TR-909 drum machine and
a Kawai K1 synth  so the versions stored  here  have kinda been arranged to
play correctly on General MIDI (GM) Synths/modules and SoundCards etc..

So, the files represented here are  simple converted arrangements of Asif`s
originals which have been converted to  SMF for universality so you  can at 
least listen to the music and get an idea of his  compositions from  his CD
album  "Out of Abbfinoosty Comes The Storm" Cyclops  records (UK), Pinnacle
(World) - released April 1996..  As Asif mentioned in  his own  document on
this CD-ROM,  these files simply represent  the backing only for  his album
because  the  Drums and Bass,  Guitars  and Vocals  are  played  by  actual
musicians including Asif Ali himself..
